Haiti
Haiti occupies the western third of the island of Hispaniola and shares a land border with the Dominican Republic. Its maritime trade moves mainly through the international ports of Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haïtien.
Main seaports
- Port international de Port-au-Prince
- Port international du Cap-Haïtien
Cargo airports
- Toussaint Louverture International Airport, Port-au-Prince
- Cap-Haïtien International Airport
Free zones and special regimes
Free zones are governed by the law of 9 July 2002; the Free Zones Directorate (DZF), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, manages their establishment and operation. The first was CODEVI, in Ouanaminthe, next to the border with the Dominican Republic.
Good to know
- The AGD is a decentralized technical service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
- The National Port Authority (APN) administers the country's ports, with three international ports and coastal shipping units.
- The security situation around Port-au-Prince has repeatedly disrupted operations at Toussaint Louverture airport since 2024; confirm current port and airport status before planning a shipment.
