The Export Industrial Free Zone regime is regulated by the National Free Zone Commission (CNZF), created by Decree 46-91, which authorizes operators and user companies.
Good to know
- Since 2023 the Nicaraguan Foreign Trade Single Window (VUCEN) has replaced CETREX and centralizes import and export permits and documents.
- Corinto handles most of the cargo traffic through the Pacific ports, followed by Puerto Sandino; on the Caribbean, Arlen Siu (El Rama) is the port with commercial traffic.
- The Managua airport is run by the International Airports Administration Company (EAAI).
