Good to know

  • Electronic invoicing uses SAT's CFDI 4.0. Moving goods within the country, even in your own vehicles, must be covered by the Carta Porte complement (version 3.1).
  • Foreign trade permits and non-tariff regulations are processed through the Mexican Foreign Trade Single Window (VUCEM).
  • In 2023 a federal decree moved all-cargo airline operations from AICM to AIFA; airlines carrying cargo on passenger flights were exempted.
  • In 2025 Mexican ports moved about 9.5 million TEU; Manzanillo had the highest volume, followed by Lázaro Cárdenas.
